Gregory Tufaro Obituary, METUCHEN, N.J. — The Saint Joseph High School community in Metuchen is mourning the passing of Gregory Tufaro ’85, a devoted alumnus and longtime supporter whose commitment to his alma mater left a lasting impact.
Tufaro was remembered by colleagues as someone who made the people around him better colleagues and employees. Those who worked alongside him described his loss as extremely difficult to put into words, reflecting the meaningful presence he had in the workplace and among those who knew him.
His connection to Saint Joseph High School remained strong throughout the years. The school described Tufaro as a true Saint Joseph Falcon and recognized his continued dedication to the institution long after his graduation.
Most recently, Tufaro served as chair of the inaugural Hall of Distinction Committee, where he played a leadership role in an initiative celebrating members of the Saint Joseph community. His involvement reflected his continued commitment to the school and its traditions.
Tufaro also played an instrumental role in the return of the Saint Joseph Athletics Hall of Fame. In recognition of his contributions to the athletic local area, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame as a contributor in 2021.
