Robert Marvin Stetson Sr. Obituary, ARDEN — Robert Marvin Stetson Sr., 83, of Arden, has lost his life surrounded by his family. He leaves behind a legacy shaped by a strong work ethic, integrity, commitment to his principles and a deep devotion to the people closest to him.
Robert was born on February 1, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late William Norton Stetson and Favorite Florence Stetson. Throughout his 83 years, he was known for the values that guided his life and his commitment to doing what he believed was right.
Much of Robert’s professional career was devoted to the Department of Defense, where he worked as a civilian contractor. He remained dedicated to his career until his retirement, building a life characterized by responsibility, service and a strong sense of purpose.
Outside of his professional life, Robert had a love for tennis and traveling. He enjoyed exploring different parts of the world, creating experiences and memories that remained meaningful to him throughout his life.
For Robert, however, relatives was at the heart of his life. The time he shared with those he loved was deeply important to him, and his devotion to his family remained a defining part of who he was.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Kathleen Stetson; his children, Robert Stetson Jr., Ann Schruckmayr and Elizabeth Jeanne Stetson; and his grandchildren, Robert Cole Stetson, Zoe Elizabeth Schruckmayr and Michael Joseph Schruckmayr. Sheilah R. Stetson and Christopher J. Schruckmayr also survive him.
His passing leaves behind a loved ones who will proceed to cherish the memories they shared with him. As they mourn his loss, they will remember Robert as a husband, father, grandfather and loved one whose presence brought meaning to their lives.
